How similar is Didit's API to Prove's?

Same shape, simpler contract. If you've integrated Prove, Sumsub, Persona, Veriff, Jumio, Onfido, or any other modern identity platform, you already know the model:

- Call **`POST /v3/session/`** with a `workflow_id` and a `vendor_data` identifier.
- **Redirect or embed** the verification URL returned in the response.
- **Receive a signed webhook** (HMAC-SHA-256) with the verdict.

One `/v3/` namespace covers KYC, KYB, Transaction Monitoring, and Wallet Screening. One authentication header, one webhook receiver. SDKs for **Web, iOS, Android, React Native, and Flutter** — same packaging your engineers already use.

Can I run Didit side-by-side with Prove before cutting over?

- **Wallet Screening (Know Your Transaction)** — use Didit's built-in screening at `$0.15` per check, or **bring your own provider** (Crystal, Merkle Science) and run it inside Didit on the same `/v3/` contract for `$0.02` per check.
- **AML Screening** — Didit's `$0.20` AML check is one option; partner integrations or your existing screening tool are first-class alternatives.
- **Transaction Monitoring** — use Didit's 11 seeded rule bundles, or bring your own rule engine via webhook subscriptions.

The open-marketplace pattern is on by design — a new partner module ships roughly every quarter.

Question 11

Where does my customer data live, and how is it protected?

Accepted Answer

**Production data is processed and stored in the European Union by default**, on Amazon Web Services. Enterprise contracts can request alternative regions for jurisdictions whose regulators require it.

**Encryption everywhere.** AES-256 at rest across every database, object store, and backup. TLS 1.3 in transit on every API call, webhook, and Business Console session. Biometric data is encrypted under a separate Customer Master Key.

**Retention is yours to control.** Default retention is indefinite unless you configure shorter — between **30 days and 10 years per application** — and you can delete any individual session at any time from the dashboard or the API.
